WHA has a long history in assisting organisations in most industry sectors in Australia to develop and implement drug and alcohol policies.  Fundamentally there are three important areas for a successful Drug and alcohol policy process.


1.Understand the desired limits and technology to be used – (we recommend urine screening for all pre-employment testing and a zero tolerance approach).
2.Form a working group made up of an even spread of employees, union reps, management and outside consultants.
3.Once the documented policy has been finalized by the working party, EDUCATE the work force.
4.Implement the policy

WHA recommends PRE-EMPLOYMENT screening for drugs, ongoing RANDOM screening of employees and FOR CAUSE and CRITICAL INCIDENT testing as required.

WHA has a long history with drug and alcohol testing using Breathalyzers for alcohol and both saliva and urine for drugs.
